De Draadzaak Advent Calendar 2025: "The cosy things in life"

Are you already looking forward to a quiet and peaceful December full of lovely knitting projects? Then I’ve got something really fun for you! Just like last year, I’m making an advent calendar for 2025 — and if you’re up for a true surprise, you might not want to miss this edition.

What can you expect?
The Draadzaak advent calendar for 2025 consists of four parcels, one for each Sunday of Advent. In each parcel, you’ll find one or more skeins of yarn, varying in meterage, and each from a different animal or sheep breed: thick or thin, fluffy or sturdy, refined or practical. It’s truly a yarn tasting with surprising textures, colours, and qualities. Altogether, you’ll unwrap over 500 grams of wool.

Along with the yarns, each parcel includes a matching knitting pattern, specially designed for a small(er) project that can be completed within a week. This way, you can easily knit something to keep yourself warm, or to give as a lovely gift under the Christmas tree. And if you don’t manage to finish your project in a week and you’re worried about skeins lying around — no worries, I’ve thought of that too! And of course, each parcel also includes a little treat ;-)

Do you prefer to grab a crochet hook instead of knitting needles? You’ll still find the knitting patterns in your advent package, but it’s entirely up to you to put your own spin on it with your crochet hook. Either way, the yarns are a joy to work with, and with your creativity and my yarns, you’ll be able to create some beautiful projects this advent season.

With the Draadzaak advent calendar, you’ll receive the recipe for four Sundays of Advent focused on calm & quietness, beautiful yarns, something sweet, and a new project waiting for your needles.

What can I expect in terms of colour?
The colours are inspired by the moodboard at the top of this page. They’re all from the same colour family, but each parcel will have its own tone — they don’t form a set, but they do create a harmonious whole. The colours of the yarns will support the patterns, to bring out the best in the designs. It promises to be a calm yet colourful collection.

Sustainably made
All yarns are hand-dyed by me in small batches, with care for people, animals, and the environment. I use rainwater for dyeing, and solar energy to heat the dye baths and dry the yarns.

Good to know:

• This advent calendar is sold as a pre-order. So you won’t receive your order right away. 
• The advent calendar contains yarns of animal origin.
• The calendar will be shipped in the first half of November. You’ll receive an email with tracking details (track & trace) as soon as your parcel has been dispatched.
• If you live in the Netherlands, shipping is included. If you live outside the Netherlands, shipping costs will be calculated automatically at checkout.
• I kindly ask that you don’t add other items to your order. Due to the size of the advent calendar and its later shipping date, combining it with other purchases is unfortunately logistically impossible.
• Discount codes do not apply to the advent calendar, but you can use a gift card towards the purchase.
