A skein of bamboo-linen yarn of 100 grams holds 400 meters of yarn, has a natural look due to the linen content and a beautiful shine when it catches sunlight. Bamboo and linen are both natural products and are very comfortable to wear on warmer days. This yarn is ideal for an airy sweater or shirt or a lacy shawlette.
Bamboo has relatively little environmental impact because the bamboo plant is not cut down in its entirety, but only the above-ground stems are harvested. The stems left behind in the soil grow back quickly. The linen in this yarn can feel a bit stiff at first, but when it is knitted up and washed, it’s wonderfully soft and supple.
